VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is the technology that provides voice service for your phone. Not only does VoLTE provide superior voice quality, it allows you to enjoy voice and data simultaneously.
While VoLTE should be automatically enabled for your device, to ensure your device is working as best as possible, please install all available software updates. Once completed, power your device off, wait 15 seconds, then power your device on.
To verify VoLTE is enabled, please look at the settings in the following locations:
Depending on the device, VoLTE will be in one of the following locations:
Settings > Connections or Network & Internet > Voice Networks > Set the VoLTE toggle to On.
Settings > Connections or Network & Internet > Mobile Networks > Set the VoLTE toggle to On.
After this step has been completed, you will need to set up your voicemail again. Please click here for instructions.
Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data > Set the VoLTE toggle to On.
After this step is completed, check to make sure your Voice and Roaming Data is turned on:
Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Set the Roaming toggle to On.
If you are experiencing difficulty switching your phone to VoLTE, please make sure your phone is up to date. Completely power your device off and wait at least 15 seconds before powering back on. Check your VoLTE settings again. Check to see if your Voice and Roaming Data option is turned on.
